Huge congratulations to the winners of our 2016 Little Black Dress Challenge! Competition was, as always, fiercely friendly with our ladies supporting and encouraging each other throughout the six weeks of the challenge.
One of the things that differentiates the AlaskaFit Little Black Dress Challenge from other challenges you may see around town is that we are not just about weight loss. At AlaskaFit, our goal is total transformation for you. To achieve this, we base challenger success on the great habits you learn and that are sustainable long after the challenge is over. If you want to learn these habits and not just get results but have long-term lifestyle changes, click here and let’s figure out the best way to get you started.
Because, as we like to say, “It’s not about getting into shape, it’s about getting into life!”®
Without further ado, Congratulations to Kris Rose, our winner! Kris attended every class, every workshop, turned in every food log and had incredible results to show for it. In the end she lost 11 pounds and 7.25 inches and reduced her body fat percentage by 3.4 points. Well done Kris! And, she did so well that she decided to stay on at AlaskaFit, so keep an eye on our page. We are sure she will be one of our Rock Star Success Stories soon!
And because we love to brag about our clients, we also want to take a moment to recognize our other outstanding challengers. Kathy Day, our second-place winner also had incredible results. She lost 4.5 pounds of body fat and gained 4 pounds of muscle, decreasing her body-fat percentage by 2 points. Here’s the key takeaway from Kathy’s results. It’s not just about the scale. If we only measured her weight, Kathy would only “show” a 1/2 pound weight loss. Talk about frustrating! But because we measure inches, weight and body fat, she knows she got incredible results. Increasing muscle mass by 4 pounds in just 6 weeks is incredible and even tougher for women to achieve. Great job Kathy!

Finally, a huge thank you to our team! We haven’t taken an updated pic of the AlaskaFit leadership team in quite a while, so we took advantage while we were all dressed up and looking our best.
