Sounds too good to be true? It’s not.
If you’re over the age of 15 then you’ve no doubt heard the many ways one can eat to lose weight. Here are some of the diets you’ve probably heard of:
– Clean Eating
– South Beach
– Weight Watchers
– Slim Fast
… and a 1,000 others.
As you know, I’m a fan of keepings things simple.
Can we over-complicate eating healthy?
Yes. And we’re incredibly good at it. We over-complicate everything. We’re humans. It’s what we do.
So allow me to answer all of your dieting questions right now.
Eat more veggies.
- Try a veggie omlet instead of your usual bagel or toast.
- Replace your lunchtime PB & J with a salad loaded with loaded with things that you love (avocado, berries, nuts and seeds, etc).
- How about changing your Friday night pizza for a cauliflower crust pizza topped with spinach and peppers?
Don’t over-complicate it. Just make a replacement where you can and over time you’ll notice less bloating, less cravings for sugar, and less tiredness.
Is this all you need to do to eat well? No.
However, it is something that you can do right now that’s pretty painless and will have a dramatic impact on your life.
Seriously, put down the Peanut M&M’s and grab a handful of carrots to dip in hummus.
For 2 weeks, try to replace at least one meal or snack a day with a more veggie-centered replacement. Why not?
One of my favorite ways to sneak veggies into my day is making cauliflower pizza crust. I know, it doesn’t sound yummy, but seriously, it’s delicious. Give it a try. Consider it a part of your experiment. Just click the button to get the recipe.
